The Cardinal Independent (The CI) is an independent news outlet founded by Vivian Bostick, a Media major at Ball State University.
A former WISH-TV 8 MMPP intern and the first-place TV Copywriter at the 2023 Indiana Association of School Broadcasters conference, Bostick launched The CI to create an opportunity to report while in college, gaining real-world, hands-on experience before walking into a corporate newsroom.
The CI is solely funded by Bostick's personal contributions, Vee Media, advertisers, and donations from readers like you.
The CI is not funded, sponsored, or endorsed by Ball State.
