5 Injured in 3 Separate Overnight Shootings



    MUNCIE, Ind. - Five people were injured in three separate shootings overnight.

    In a statement from Muncie Police Department (MPD) Deputy Chief Melissa Criswell, multiple agencies have assisted MPD, and each shooting is being investigated as a separate case.

    Criswell says, on September 5 at 8:36 p.m., a report was received of a shooting at an apartment complex near South Walnut Street and East 24th Street. A 27-year-old man is in critical condition, and a 24-year-old man is in stable condition.

    Just before midnight, a report was received of a shooting at a convenience store parking lot near South Madison Street and East Willard Street. A 30-year-old man and a 44-year-old man are in stable condition.

    On September 6 at 1:01 a.m.,  a report was received of a shooting inside a home near South Monroe Street and East 6th Street. A 52-year-old man is in stable condition.
