MUNCIE, Ind. - The Cardinal Independent (The CI) has heard from staff who are concerned about expressing their personal opinions and beliefs following the firing of Suzanne Swierc. The CI has also heard from students involved with university-managed student media who are concerned that some stories weren't published.
The CI has established a dedicated email to share these experiences: bsuexpressionconcerns@cimuncie.org.
Under Indiana law (IC § 34-46-4-2), individuals have the right to remain anonymous. The CI may publish stories submitted to this email while fully respecting contributors’ anonymity if requested.
