UPDATE: In a text received at 2:18 a.m., the University Police Department has announced that Ball State has advised there is no ongoing threat to campus. While police will remain in the area, normal activities can continue.
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University Police Department (UPD) reports a shooting in the area of North Rosewood Avenue and West Bethel Avenue.
The report, sent to Ball State students via text and email at 1:14 a.m., states UPD units are assisting the Muncie Police Department (MPD) with its investigation.
UPD advises the community to stay clear of the area until further notice.
