MUNCIE, Ind. - Following the pause to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), The Cardinal Independent has taken the initiative to launch a map of local food pantries in Muncie, Indiana.
The map, crowdsourced from Muncie community members, is accessible at https://CIMuncie.org/food, or by clicking "Food Pantries" on our website menu.
The CI will utilize its web, radio and social media platforms to promote this resource.
In a Vee Media PR press release, The CI's Vivian Bostick said "Local news has an obligation serve their communities. While there’s been a lot of news coverage about the SNAP pause, we as journalists need to share resources for those impacted. This map serves as a unified hub for the Muncie community."
